Josie Morris

Jo was born in Ireland (Oola, Co. Limerick).

She met Mick Morris, 1951 in London England. He was in the U.S. Navy. Later got married and was blessed with 3 boys, Mike, Lee, and Mat, and later with three wives, Lynn, Susie, and Lilla and then came the grandchildren, Joseph, Jarina, Philip and Jacob. One great grandchild, Diamond.

Mick retired from the navy in 1978 and they lived in Wyoming for 7 years, where she worked in a jewelry store. She did engraving, watch and jewelry repair and sales. Later moved to Port Orchard, Washington, she went to work for the Vandenbos Jewelry Store, she became a gold smith, stayed 9 years and then went to Weisfields Jewelery in Silverdale. She was registered with the Diamond Council of America as a certified Diamontologist and many years later she retired from Weisfields Jewelry.

Hobbies: bowling, swimming, playing cards and bridge

A celebration of Josie’s life will be held at Haven of Rest, her final resting place in Gig Harbor, on August 21, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with a reception to follow.
