Joyce was a grandmother as well as a teacher. Summer Bible Camp on their front porch with their grandchildren was a must for Joyce and Stewart. Family was always the most important thing. Rural Retreat, Virginia was always Joyce’s home in spirit.

She was a true woman of God. His Love radiated through her, giving her a beauty that never faded. Her deeply caring heart, and her love for God, gave her a genuine concern for the souls of others. She was a loving mother, a kind caregiver and generous to a fault. She went home to be with the Lord she served and loved so dearly. Now safe in the arms of Jesus she is reunited with her loving husband Avery and the loved ones that went before her. Her love is carried in the hearts of her children and grand children, her memory will never fade. Those who knew her, knew it was a privilege to be her friend.
