Leon Joseph Danforth, 84, a Gig Harbor resident since 2018, died August 22, 2021. Leon was a Marine Engineer around the world and a Subdivision Developer as well as a Home Builder in Texas. He worked very hard until his retirement in 2005 and always enjoyed his family.
Family members include his wife, Elizabeth; sons, Lee, Michael, and Glenn of Houston, TX; Kevin of San Bernardino, California, and Allan of Kansas City; stepsons, Christopher of Lafayette, IN and Todd of Gig Harbor; daughters, Cheryl of Camdenton, MO, Carol of Raytown, MO and Kimberly of Harrisonville, MO; 18 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of His Life will be held at the Living Word Lutheran Church, Katy, TX on
October 16, 2021. Further Celebrations will be held in Boston, MA and in Lafayette, IN.
