On September 16, Marilyn Lee Davis of Spokane, WA, passed away at the age of 72.
She was born to Joseph and Elizabeth Miller in Quincy, WA, where she grew up and graduated from high school in 1966. She graduated from Deaconess School of Nursing school in 1969, and Eastern Washington University in 1976. She worked at Eastern State Hospital for 9 years, with the Division of Developmental Disabilities for 21 years, as well as working as a home health nurse for 15 years. She married John Davis in 1967, they had no children. She had long term relationships with Richard “Dick” Fanning and Greg Parker.
Marilyn was an avid collector, having a great passion for all things related to The Wizard of Oz. She also enjoyed collecting antiques. She was known for her good sense of humor, and for being a caring long-distance nurse to her family and friends. She loved spending time with her sisters, nieces, and nephew. She loved animals as well, having many dogs, cats, and birds over the years.
She was preceded in death by her father, Joe, her mother, Elizabeth, and her brother in law, John Carlson. She is survived by her sisters, Dawn Miller of Moses Lake, WA, and Bonnie Little of Orlando, FL, her brother in law, John Little of Orlando, FL, her nieces and nephews Alexine Carlson of Kennewick, WA, Austin Robinson of Moses Lake, WA, and Katherine “Skylar” Little of Orlando, FL.
Details of any memorial service will be forthcoming. In lieu of flowers, her sisters request that donations be made to The Hoarding Project.
