Richard Beighley

Richard (Rick) Harold Beighley died December 28, 2021. He was born in Tacoma on September 18, 1961. Rick moved to Gig Harbor in 1978 and graduated from Peninsula High School in 1980. After high school he began working at Simpson Tacoma Kraft Company and worked there for over 35 years, eventually becoming a recovery boiler operator.

Rick was a history enthusiast and enjoyed reading and collecting memorabilia. He also built and painted intricate models of historic planes, tanks and ships. He enjoyed the outdoors and nature and took the time to notice and appreciate the little things.

Rick is survived by sister Janet Buehs and her husband Guenther of Gig Harbor, aunt Nancy Beighley of Tacoma, uncle Norman Beighley of Mandan, ND and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Wayne and Jean Beighley, brother John and aunt Virginia Simes. Interment Haven of Rest Cemetery, Gig Harbor.
