Sharon Lee Hogan, 85, Gig Harbor Wa, October 1, 2020, passed peacefully in her sleep at her home.
Born December 9, 1934 in Seattle, to her parents William Swafford and Dorothy O’Sheehy. Her siblings were Ernie Darnell and Raleigh Darnell. She was a Ballard Beaverette at Ballard High School.
She met her husband, the love of her life while moving into an apartment building near the University of Washington.
Sharon was always a worker bee. She was a courtroom reporter in her post high school years and later became a book keeper for the family businesses. She even flipped burgers from time to time at their restaurant, Bob’s.
Sharon was was a real go-getter and loved all things outdoors. From mushroom picking, raking leaves, and snowmobiling, to hunting and fishing. She even had her very own shotgun. She had a love for animals and a very warm spot in her heart for their hunting dogs.
If I were to guess, her heaven would look like her and her husband hitting the open road, driving the most scenic routes, with their dogs in the back, just the two of them.
Sharon is survived by her son Wayne Hogan Jr. and his wife Gretchen. Two grand children, Taylor and Tara. One great grandchild, Caelan, and one great grandchild on the way. Lastly, and extremely importantly her favorite companion Missy.
Due to Covid-19 the service will be private. She will be interned with her husband at Haven of Rest.
Special thanks to her caregivers through the years who kept her company and mostly cared for her dog. She really loved you all.
