On Sunday, November 28, 2021, Shaun Edwin Parkinson passed away unexpectedly, at the young age of 38.
Shaun was born on a lovely spring day in Lakewood, Washington, to Charles and Cynthia Parkinson. In 2009, he met the love of his life, Lindsey. They got married on a beautiful day in August a few years later and began their adventure together. Shaun attended Bates Technical College before going to work at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, Washington. He was loved immensely by all who knew him and was well respected by those he worked with.
Shaun was a kind and gentle person who loved the outdoors, especially his beautiful Pacific Northwest. He had an eye for photography, loved wandering in the woods, and found peace sailing on the sea. Shaun’s witty sense of humor brought laughter to many and his bright smile was catching. He could often be found in the kitchen preparing masterpiece meals for family and friends, and teaching his children the art of cooking. He most loved sitting on his front porch in the evening, playing guitar, banjo or mandolin and singing to his family, the pride and joy of his life.
Shaun is survived by his wife, Lindsey, and three young children, Charles, Lewis, and Kathryn; parents, Charles and Cynthia Parkinson; grandmother, Margie Ewing; sister, Jennifer Parkinson; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He leaves a hole in our lives that will always be felt, and is missed tremendously.
“Only a moment you stayed, but what an imprint your footprints have left on our hearts.”
