Shirley Dibble Obituary
Shirley J. Dibble, 86, a Gig Harbor resident since 2017, died September 17, 2022. Shirley was a wife, mother, friend to many, avid cook, gardener, and fan of the Judge Judy show. She was an extraordinarily strong woman who never let illness or chronic pain define her or allow it to slow her down. Prior to retirement she was an Executive Assistant/Secretary with the State of Idaho and then with the State of Alaska. She was very active in her Gig Harbor retirement community operating the gift store, organizing three libraries, and being elected to the resident council.
Family members include her husband, Harry; sons David Dibble (Grangeville, ID) and John Corapi (Lacey, WA); daughter in-law, Susan Dibble (Grangeville, ID); stepdaughters Diane Mullen and Denise Van-Der-Leest (Stratford, WI); brother, Emil Anderson (Olympia, WA); sister, Jan Raines (Erie, PA); brother Danny Andersen (Erie, PA); and sister in-law Charlotte Andersen (Erie, PA). In addition, extended family include David Underwood (Lacey, WA), Becky Pearson (Gig Harbor, WA) as well as many nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Graveside services will be October 8, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Haven of Rest Cemetery, 8503 Highway WA-16, Gig Harbor, WA 98332. Flowers are welcome to be sent to Haven of Rest Cemetery for the graveside service.
