Sylvia Stevens Gadient, 83, of Gig Harbor, WA, died of natural causes, on May 16th, 2021.
The funeral Service will be held at St. Nicholas Parish on Thursday May 27, followed by a celebration of her life at the Gig Harbor Eagles at 1pm. Visitation will be at Haven of Rest Wednesday May 26th at 5pm for non-vaccinated friends and at 6pm for vaccinated friends. She will be buried at Holy Cross Cemetery in Colma, near San Francisco on June 3, following services at St Monica’s parish.
Sylvia Gadient was born on November 15, 1937, in Manilla, Philippines. She came to the United States after World War II, and was raised in San Francisco. She married Robert Ludwig Gadient on Dec 4, 1970, and they were married for 39 years.
Sylvia is survived by her four children, TJ, Sabrina, Desiree and Etienne; 7 Grandchildren, Ashlie, Heather, Jocelyn, Kalea, Emma, Tristan, and Chelsey; 2 Great Grandchildren, Bailey and Claire; and 5 nieces and nephews Cythia, Jennifer, Kathryn, Howard and Renee, along with her boyfriend George “Joe” Walker, among many other family and friends.
Sylvia was an avid reader of history and culture, and genealogy. She was passionate about travelling, lifetime discovery and her Catholic faith. She enjoyed playing the piano, singing karaoke, and dancing the night away. She lived in humility as she would find ways to help others, always avoiding any recognition or attention. She was truly one of a kind.
