William (Billy) Fulton Obituary

On March 4th, 2023, William (birth name "Billy") E. Fulton (age 72), also known as "Bill", passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home in Silverdale, Washington. Bill Fulton was born in the Tacoma General Hospital on October 29th, 1950. He was born to Margie Elizabeth Meade and Robert Edward Fulton. He had two siblings, sister Cheri Fulton and brother Bobby Fulton. Bill was talented in music and mathematics. He graduated from Curtis Senior High School in Tacoma, Washington and continued his education at Washington State University to earn his Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. Afterwards, he began his career working for the US NA\/Y in Keyport, WA as an Electronics Engineer. In 1980, he left the NA\/Y to travel and play trumpet professionally with the gospel music group Bridge from Nashville, TN. In 1982, he received a second degree in Math Education from Central Washington University. He taught Math and Computer Science for 2 years and then returned to work for the US NA\/Y as an Engineer in 'l 983. In 1993, he became a Volunteer Fireman for Port Ludlow Fire & Rescue District 3 and retired from Central Kitsap Fire & Rescue in 2008 with 15 years of volunteer service to the fire department. He also retired in 2008 as an Engineer from the NA\/Y.

Bill Fulton was outgoing, helpful to others, and sought opportunities to share the gospel. His hobbies were diving, music performance, audio engineering, droning, cycling, audio, golf, pickleball, and sailing. He raised donations and awareness for various causes including children's cancer as well as volunteered for many groups and events. To highlight just a few of those activities, he cycled for the Great Cycle Challenge to raise funds to end childhood cancer and save their lives. He volunteered at the Pacific Science Center in Seattle, WA. He volunteered as an Audio Tech at Gateway Fellowship in Poulsbo, WA and led a Christian Singles Group, Gateway Fellowship Singles. He was a member of Gideons International. He played trumpet and other horns for the Gateway Fellowship worship team, Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church's orchestra in Bremerton, WA, and the Grace Point Church music team in Bremerton, WA. 

He is survived by his former wife, Lily Parker; his daughter and her husband, Melody Fulton and Clifford Berkman, and their children, Antonina Berkman and Evan Berkman; his brother-in-law, Ryan Gausman; and his nieces and their husbands, Raschelle and Mathew Stangeland, Jennifer and Roy Date, and Stephanie and Bryan Peterson. Bill's family will host a memorial service on Saturday, March 25th, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Grace Point Church in Bremerton, WA. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Make a Wish Foundation, Great Cycle Challenge, Gateway Fellowship, or Grace Point Church.
