Harrison & Sammie Harris

Harrison L. Harris was born in Jackson, MS. Harrison retired from Boeing. And after retirement he drove school buses for over 25 years. Harrison was a Mason and also a member of the Caballeros Club. He enjoyed bowling, vacationing, and playing pool.

Sammie Lee Harris was born in Haynesville, LA. She also retired from Boeing. Sammie was an active Ombudsman member. She enjoyed sewing.

When Harrison and Sammie were married 64 years ago, they relocated to Gig Harbor, WA. God called them home together, hand and hand, on March 15th. They were members of Mount Tahoma Seventh Day Adventist Church. During their free time, they enjoyed gardening, playing cards and dominoes whether together or with others. They also cherished the time they spent with family and friends.

Surviving family members include daughters Jacintha Williams (OR) and Ericka Forney (NC), grandsons Harrison John Williams, Jordan S. Forney, Jonte B. Braxton and granddaughter Jacynthe L. Forney. Also, three great grand-children, Jaylon Williams, Jasai J. Forney and Eryice H. Forney. Paternal siblings Catherine Chambers (deceased), Barbara Hopkins (deceased), John Harris (deceased), Geraldine Harris, Clarence Harris (deceased) Lawrence Harris (deceased), and Lafayette Harris and Patsy Harris. Maternal siblings Nettie Dobson (deceased), Birda Reedy (deceased), Syletta Ratliff (deceased), Maggie Bland, Minnie James, (deceased), Charles James (wife Gloria James, deceased). They also leave a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be 2 P.M. on Friday, March 29th at Haven of Rest Cemetery in Gig Harbor, WA
