Ronald John Ross

Ronald J. Ross, a lifelong resident of Gig Harbor passed away May 1, 2016. Ron was a third generation commercial fisherman, sailing on Puget Sound and inland Alaska waters on his gill netter the Becky. He was a Coast Guard Veteran during the Korean War sailing on the icebreaker the North Wind.

Family members are wife of 62 years, Rosemary of Gig Harbor; daughter, Rebecca Ross (Chris Nielsen) of Shoreline; and son Peter Emmett Ross of Hoquaim; 2 grandchildren Devon Rose O’Rourke and Keegan Peter O’Rourke.

A private family service will be held at a later date. Burial will be at Rosedale Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer Association. Please sign his guest book at www.havenrest.com with favorite memories and condolences for the family.
