Rosamond P (Freer) Linke

Rosamond (Rose) Linke passed away peacefully at home on Monday, June 20.  She was a lovely woman who touched many lives in an incredible way.  She enjoyed reading, knitting, traveling, and spending time with her family.  She was especially attached to her cat, Miss Kitty, and spent hours with the cat on her lap watching television.

She worked for many years as a Clerk Typist for the US Army at Fort Monmouth, New Jersey.   Rose was born to Alfred and Etta Freer in Manasquan, New Jersey on March 8, 1924.  As the daughter of a minister, she lived in several locations in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.  She married John (Ward) Linke on March 11, 1948.  They raised their two children, Philip and Susan, in Sea Girt, New Jersey.  Her husband passed away in November 1995.  She was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Point Pleasant, New Jersey,   Since moving to Gig Harbor in July 2000, she has lived with her son and daughter-in-law.

The family especially wants to thank Dr. Steve Kramp and his staff for their years of extraordinary care and involvement in the lives of both Rose and the Linke family.

Rose is survived by Philip & Veronica Linke and Susan & Richard Tittermary, her son & daughter and their spouses; her 6 grandchildren, Christopher Linke, Robert Linke, & Elizabeth Linke, Melissa Jackson, Jenny Tittermary, & Brian Tittermary; and more importantly, her 5 Great Grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at Haven of Rest on Saturday,  June 25, 2016 at 11:00am. She will be interred at Haven of Rest.
