Ruth Gertrude Cain

Ruth Gertrude Cain, 102 years of age, passed away peacefully in Gig Harbor, Washington on June 9, 2017. She was born in Billings, Montana on January 19, 1915 to Emery and Amy Stephens. Ruth graduated from Toppenish High School. She later worked as an Office Manager at Boyd’s Coffee Company for many years. Ruth was best known for love of family and gracious sharing of her home. Her past times included spending time with family, playing Bridge, and gardening. Ruth is preceded in death by K. Lester Lidstrom and Charles Cain. She is survived by five siblings -Robert Stephens, Wilbur Stephens, Betty Low, Dorothy Ortolf, and William Stephens; three children - Shirley McCann of Kenmore, WA; Joanne Brown of Gig Harbor, WA; and Raymond Lidstrom of San Diego, CA.  She is deeply loved and will be missed dearly by her family and friends. A Memorial Service in her honor will take place at a later date.
