Hi Andrea and Family,
I know this is a year later but I was searching for my grandfather's name and came across this obituary. My grandfather Bernard Natucci and your dad are first cousins. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. I was able to talk to your dad on the phone a couple years ago and was so impressed with his memory of some family members. You all have my condolences. Here is my number if you or your other cousins have questions about our family. 253.205.6595

Bernard was my instructor I was his last student to graduate before he retired. He was so passionate about his work and it always showed. His teaching techniques were amazing I give him all the credit which led myself to pursue becoming an instructor as well. I graduated in 1995 and became an instructor in 2004. He passion and techniques will forever be engraved in his students he taught.

So many fond memories... Horseback riding, my first job and a wonderful friend to our family. May you all be blessed with the memories that keep on giving.

Oh Bud, you and your horse Budweiser, as we were beginning our week hunt on Jack Mountain and you gave me a holler to help you across that first bridge off the highway. Get behind me Jim and push me horse across this bridge will ya. Sure enough, chased Bud across and up the hill till we came to the switchbacks. Up we went finally having to dismount and be tail drug rest of way up. After several hours of climbing and resting and climbing again we crested. Hey Ron where do we camp? That was Bud. Always game, fun to be with and of good spirit. I miss you my friend and memories of our several rides stick with me in the saddle. Many more stories to tell, but need a little whisky to get them rolling, many more, many more than there's room in that old bottle of whisky. Rest in peace Bud, your last ride was like yesterday, you really don't need no spurs to get into heaven, Grace saw to that first off. Be seen ya some day!

Bernard was my instructor in 1994. I couldn't have asked for a better person as an instructor, always with a smile and laughter, he was very positive and never cut corners in his teaching and was very upfront from the beginning.. Rest in peace with your loving wife....

Thank you Jennifer for your kind words, my dad loved his job at Clover Park and he wanted his students to be the best they could and he gave in return. I remember him telling me that he wanted his students to treat school like it was a job and that he didn't want time wasted on either he or them if they didn't take it seriously. Dad lived very passionately!
Sincerely,
Andrea

I am so sorry to learn of Bud's passing - I didn't know that Gracie had also passed. I know how devoted they were to one another. "I think" Bud's Father was my Grandmother's ( Jennie Natucci Guelfy) Brother. My parents were Jim & Ada Guelfy. I hate it when all family members are not here to verify & answer questions about the past! Bud's sister, Mona, used to stop by my Grandparents home in Parkland & keep us updated on the happenings of the family. Of course Bud cut my hair & my Mom's for many years before he left his salon to teach at Clover Park. We then continued with Dottie that had been with him for years. I'll never forget the comment he made to me very early on, "I've never seen such STRAIT hair" - his wasn't so curly either! Over the years, whenever there was a party for my parents, Bud & Grace always attended. Even though we did not see much of each other, it was known & felt that they "were always there". Such a gentle couple.
I would love to know a little about his family and if Mona is still alive. I truly sympathize with all of his family - we grow up thinking that our Moms & Dads will be there forever and it's such an empty feeling when they are not.
So sad,
JudyRae Guelfy

Judy Rae, Hi! This is Merri. Mona's oldest daughter. Mom did pass away Feb. 2, 2016. As with Uncle Bud she didn't want any kind of service either. She is buried with our father and his family at Mountain View Cemetary in Tacoma and has an obituary about her life on their website under "Mona McMahon". It's interesting both her and her brother passed away at the same age of 86. Yes, it's still very hard to believe she's gone and now they're both gone.

I do remember stopping by Aunt Jennie's and Uncle Ray' s cozy little "chicken" house with my mom. At least that's how I remember it. And, going next door I think to your parent's house. I loved those visits, and hearing about the family. My mom was never really very social and I'm sorry the visits tapered off and we've lost touch. I would love to talk to you sometime. And if you have any questions feel free to email or call. My number is 253-228-3538

Hi JudyRae,

Bud's parents were also my Grandparents. I am one of Mona's daughters. I remember going with my mom to visit Jim and Ada, and I remember your name coming up now and then. Uncle Bud used to cut my hair, and Dottie lived very close to me and cut my hair for years after he closed his salon. My mom, Mona passed away Feb. 2, 2016. She was 86, like Bud. I will always miss her.
Bud and Gracie were always the best Aunt and Uncle one could wish for. They will definitely be missed.

Bud cut my hair in the 60's and though I enjoyed our conversations I was always most in awe of his graceful movements. As I have perfected my woodworking I frequently think of him wishing to emulate his efficiency and grace in his work.

Thank you for your kind words Nancy.
My parents definitely had artist hands and the passion that went with it. I wish I could write half as beautifully as they did!
Sincerely,
Andrea
