Carlota Phyllis (Baker) Moody

P. Carlota (Baker) Moody passed away August 26, 2016 in Gig Harbor, WA. She was born November 15, 1932 to Arthur Wallace Baker & Bernice Carter Brown. She is survived by her 3 children: Elaine D. (Moody) Root, Scott A. Moody & Chris D. Moody; 6 grandchildren: Branden Root Makana, Christina (Root) Kastl,

Amanda Lokelani Moody, Beau Makana Moody, Samantha Noelani Moody & Amber YuYing Moody; and 4 great grandchildren: Gabriella Tanibe, Owen Kastl, Ashton Rainui Makana Moody & Lucy Kastl; 3 siblings – 2 sisters: Barbara (Baker) Lani & Pamela (Baker) McAlister. She was predeceased by her brother Arthur F. Baker.

She was married for 24 years to Donald W. Moody until their divorce in 1978.

Carlota lived in numerous places and really enjoyed her 22 years in Lanikai - Hawaii. Her kids all graduated from high school there and her youngest, Chris still lives in Hawaii (where his kids were raised). She loved plants and loved seeing all her children and grand/great grand children.

Other places she lived include Mexico where she was born, New Jersey, Webster Groves - Missouri, Cherry Point - North Carolina, San Diego and Oakland- California, Climax - Colorado, Fairbanks - Alaska, Seattle, Moses Lake and Wenatchee Washington, Edmond Oklahoma and finally Gig Harbor (Fox Island) Washington.
