Tom & Pat,
I'm sending you my deepest sympathies at the loss of Dave. Even though my friendship with him goes back to high school, specifically wood shop, he still holds a special place in my heart. Dave was always kind, upbeat, helpful and patient while helping me with my projects. Rest in peace, Dave.

Dave was always such a cheerful guy the few times I saw him. An artist such as him brings such joy to others through their devotion and talents to their art. I was terribly sad to hear of his departure. God bless and peace to his family, Pat, Tom, Cheryl and others.

Dave was a passenger on my bus for many years. I've driven over 24years, mostly on the route close to his home.
It's always struck me that, despite his challenges, he always had a smile for me, was always gracious.
Recently, due to a long term detour that brought the bus closer to his home, I've been able to observe Dave walking his dog. The joy they had for each other was so obvious, and always brought a smile to my face.
Farewell sir, the world has lost a gentleman.

Though I only recall having seen Dave once since the early 90's when I did see him it was a joyful experience. It was in Gig Harbor about 5 years ago. I couldn't help but be impressed with how alive he had become. He had obviously accepted himself and his place in this crazy world we all struggle through. On that day he was happy...about everything. That's the place where he has been for me since and will always be and how I will remember him...a happy guy.
