So sorry for your loss Judy. Joe was too young to leave this world but he knew he left his sons in good hands with their Mother. Sometimes we question why and I don't know if that question will ever be answered here on earth, but now you know that your loved one is no longer in terrible pain and whole again. I always think quality of life is much better than quantity. I love you.

Judy, JJ & Jason: We were so sorry to hear of Joe's passing. Having Chris and JJ grow up together and play sports over the years, Joe was one of our favorites to sit by and talk to at ball games. He was extremely proud of his kids and (after JJ and Chris graduated from high school) always had stories to share of how his kids were doing whenever we would bump into him somewhere. As Chris was growing up and spending a lot of time at the Nazzaro's house, Joe made a positive impact on him as well. Chris enjoyed teasing Joe about how bad his play was during his ping pong matches with JJ and Joe was happy to give it right back. Joe was a very kind man and very proud father and we will greatly miss seeing him around. All of the Apples are thinking of you.

I worked with Joe at IDC. We often talked of fishing, his boys, hunting and camping. He always said he would bring his family to our campground at Naches, Wa, but we never formulated the plan. I liked Joe professionally and personally, and my heart goes out to his family,

Sorry for your loss. I worked with Joe at IDC and besides being a hard worker I always knew his boys were very important to him. I remember him always bringing in candy bars to sell for whatever sports the boys were in. He would even let us leave IOU's and not bug us to pay up. He will be missed. Prayers for your family in this time.

He was a good guy, fun to work with (at IDC) and we did a lot of good natured teasing with each other. I admired his dedication to his family and know he left a hole in every heart he touched.

As Joe's family doctor for many years before retiring, I believe I knew Joe and his great family well. I am very surprised to hear of his death, and of course the medical guy in my wonders why, what happened. More importantly though, is his legacy. What a great, kind man and he is leaving behind a wonderful wife and two great, smart, talented kids. I trust they will get through this and do will.
