Joe was such a joy when meeting in the hospital hallways. What an amazing smile and bigger than life personality. We saw him even more when Edie was a giftshop volunteer. He was so very proud of his family and sang their praises often.
Rest in peace, Joe.

Dear Susan,
Thank you so much for sharing your precious memories of both our Mom and Dad. Volunteering was a major part of both their lives; and we are forever grateful for the friends dad made at both MultiCare's Tacoma General and Gig Harbor Medical Park. As he became older and his illness progressed, his volunteer work gave him routine, purpose, enjoyment, acceptance, and friendship. Above all, he was always treated with love and respect. Many thanks to you Susan and all those at MutiCare who appreciate our precious volunteers.

We all will always remember Joey, as we called him. Always full of fun, always lifting up and swinging my children in the air as soon as we met at Mama Emelia's on Sunday nights. He will never be forgotten. We all loved Joey and know he will be bringing joy to those in heaven that preceded him there. Rest in peace, Joey, you deserve the rest.

Many thanks, Aunt Rose and Family.
We too have wonderful memories of Mama's on Sunday nights, and spending precious summer times in Connecticut with our grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins....and of course Brownie the best dog ever!
Aunt Rose, all these years later I want to offer a very belated thank you for your integral role in making nursing "the family business" for all Dad's daughters. You greatly encouraged Tina to pursue nursing as a career, Tina inspired me, and we both in turn inspired Joanne to become a nurse. Dad was so proud of the fact that all three of his daughters were nurses; and we owe you a debt of gratitude for your encouragement and role modeling of the nursing profession.
