Momma Jo was such a blessing to the Hernandez family (they are my husband Jorge's cousins). It was a pleasure to have known her, although I only got to chat with her a few times, but you could tell she radiated a very peaceful, kind heart. I am very sad that we missed her memorial service, but what a joy it will be to see her again in Heaven with a body that will never feel pain and never get sick. God bless Momma Jo's family in this difficult time, we are praying for you all.

I was Jo,s walking partner at her apartment complex. She was an enjoyable person to be around. She enjoyed sharing stories about her family. She was proud of all of them and what they had accomplished and were trying to do with their lives. I was from eastern Washington so we had some things in common. I really enjoyed Jo's company.

The Finger Prints of God
An evidence kit is used to find finger prints to see who has been at a scene. On my Mom, the evidence would show that she was touched by God. When you read I Corinthians 13:4-7 describing God's character, it's like reading about Mom. Here's the personalized version:

Mom endured with patience and serenity. Mom was kind and thoughtful, never jealous or envious. Mom did not brag, nor was she proud or arrogant. Mom was not rude or self-seeking, but put others first. She never forced her views on others and was not overly sensitive or easily angered. She was not a score-keeper, taking into account any wrongs she endured. Mom never rejoiced at injustice, but rejoiced when right and truth prevailed. With God's love in her heart, she bore all things that came her way. She believed all things, even her illness and death, could be used to bring glory to God. She saw the best in people and had a loving heart that internalized and exercised God's forgiveness of others shortcomings. Through her rich prayer life, and devouring God's Word, she had a hope that passes all understanding. She remained steadfast during many difficult times, enduring all things in God's strength without any weakening of her faith to the very end.

Yes, the evidence is proof positive that the finger prints of God were on Mom and her life. I hope when my time comes, to be laid to rest, that the same can be said of me...she was covered with the fingerprints of God!

Many thanks to all who left their fingerprints on Mom enriching her life and filling it with joy and laughter.
