Wayne WILLIS

Wayne B. Willis met with the Lord May 30, 2013 at the age of 78 surrounded by family. Born June 20, 1934 to Benjamin and Myrtle Willis in Tacoma, WA. Graduate of Lincoln High School and University of Puget Sound. Army service- The 10th Mountain Division. He spent his lifetime in the grocery/food industry. The founder of Willis Marketing and an owner of W.B. Scotts restaurant, food and entertaining go hand in hand for this man with a gift of gab. His affiliations have included Kiwanis, Sigma Nu, Tacoma Elks, Fircrest Golf Club, Tacoma Yacht Club and Agnus Dei Lutheran Church. He loved Roche Harbor and boating. He could frequently be seen making his rounds, visiting the many friends who touched his life. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Helen Willis, son David Willis (Mona), daughters Gretchen Hogan (Wayne Jr.) and Sandy Dawson (Dan). Grandchildren: Lindsey Hays (Andrew), Brooke Willis, Taylor and Tara Hogan, Ryan and Kait Dawson. His sister "?n law Beth Willis (Dale) and nephew Darin Willis. He is preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Myrtle Willis, brother Dale Willis and sister Linda Willis. A memorial service will be held June 11th at 11:00 AM at the University Place Presbyterian Church, 8101 27th St. W., University Place, WA 98466. Pastor Biegert of Agnus Dei officiating.
